I’ve got my mouth. It’s a weapon.
It’s a bombshell. It’s a cannon.
I’ve got my words.
- - -
I’ve got my words. I hope they hurt you.
I hope they scar you. I hope they heal you.
I hope they cut you open
You’re the dirt in my eyes when I try to see
You’re the smoke in my lungs when I try to breathe
Absolutely Amazing Music.
- England- The National (Every time I hear this I feel happy and sad at the same time, in a way I can’t describe)
- Now The One You Once Loved Is Leaving- Lydia (The beginning is kinda rockish, but the end is so beautiful..)
- All I See- Lydia (“No one would ever wait for you. I’ll wait for you love.”)
- The Funeral- Band Of Horses
- Get It Right- Lydia(Just heard this today but fell in love with immediately)

- Adam And Catherine’s Tango- Dustin O’Halloran (So different from what he composes now in my opinion)
- Breathe Me- Sia (Every time I hear this I think about the scene in cyberbully when Emily is about to commit suicide and it just makes me feel so helpless, just like she was feeling in that moment. So alone, yet I cannot stop listening to this song)
- Lament (We Cannot Wait)- Robbie Seay Band Feat. Breanne Duren (Song about mourning the loss of sons. Originally written for a mother who had attended church with him, and the loss of her son unexpectedly. It was written to help her cope with her son’s departure to heaven)
- Beautiful Scandalous Night- Robbie Seay Band
- Such Great Heights- The Postal Service (Never gets old)
- Dream- Priscilla Ahn (The first song I learned how to pluck on the guitar. I remember I tried out with this song and my choir teacher cried. <3)
- Possession- Nicholas Hooper (This song has so much power and emotion. It is from the 5th Harry Potter, sorry can’t help how much I adore HP, anyways its from the part when Voldemort tries to force himself into Harry’s mind, seeing all of Harry’s memories all the while Harry is forced to let him mindlessly inside his mind. But then Harry finds the courage and love inside of him to force him out of his mind and memories, stating at the end. “You’re weak one. You will never know love or friendship. And I feel sorry for you.”)
- Dumbledore’s Farewell- Nicholas Hooper (Yet another Harry Potter song, this one I vividly remember being filled with so much remorse when all the student and teachers raised their wands in remembrance of their beloved professor.)
- Here, Here, and Here- Meg and Dia (“Mozart, he said there’s nothing to composing” uhh Mozart, lies lies…)
- Roses- Meg and Dia (The bridge is my favorite)
- Drugs Or Me- Jimmy Eat World (“I can’t see you past the drugs”)
- Hannah- Freelance Whales (This band has had its good and bads with me, and I can’t help but come back to them. I found them a long time ago and wasn’t even that interested in them, Generator ^Second Floor was the first song I heard by them. About a year later I found out the guy I liked at the time liked this band too, I basically started listening to them everyday, and of course I couldn’t help but be reminded of him when I’d listen to them.. And when that ended or slowly shredded apart I had to stop listening to them to get over him, so even though I still like them I feel like he ruined one of my favorite bands. Or maybe I’m just crazy)
- Generator (both versions)- Freelance Whales
- So I Thought- Flyleaf
- All Around Me- Flyleaf (I can feel God all around me when I’m not even trying)
- Shake It Out- Florance + The Machine (Katherine McFee killed this on smash, in the good way(; )
- Cosmic Love- Florance + The Machine (Heard this song first when a girl in a Talent Show danced to it, it was so lovely)

- Warning Sign- Coldplay (I can’t help it but this song just makes me wanna cry)
- Skinny Love- Birdy (I know its a cover, but she made this song into something totally different than Bon Iver, and she barely a teenager. Reminds me of Minerva)
- First Floor People- Barcelona (Such interesting chord structure)
- Come Back When You Can- Barcelona (I listened to it too much, but I still enjoy it now and again)
- Awkward Goodbye- Athlete (Randomly discovered this on mog, and listened to it because it had the such a pretty album cover, so glad I did)
- Black Swan Song- Athlete (About war)
- So Contagious- Acceptance (Middle School days…)
- Puhu aanella jonka kuulen- Happoradio (Finnish song that cannot be translated as beautifully to English, half the beauty comes from the Finnish poetry. If only they knew how beautiful this language truly is)
- My Little Dove- I Hate You Just Kidding (Interesting band name, lovely song. Heard this on Private Practice after Grey’s friend had committed suicide because she had basically been given a death sentence. Her illness was going to take everything from her so she decided she wanted to control how she was to leave earth.)
- Hide And Seek- Imogen Heap (So many meanings can be drawn to this song)
- Price Tag- Jessie J (“Why is everybody so obsessed, money can’t buy us happiness” We all know this yet don’t act upon it…)

- Harry In Winter- Patrick Doyal (My childhood)

We are born to Live.
I’ve heard it said “We are born to die”
And honestly the whole sentence contradicts itself
Birth is usually associated as a positive word in itself
At least to me
I know there are phrases such as “and a war was born”
But usually when I hear the word born, I think of new life
New beginnings, re-birth, born into Christ, babies (I mean who doesn’t love babies lol)
But born to die just sounds so negative and depressing, like death is the end of our tragic lives
Perspective.
If a person chooses to view their life as an unhappy montage of events that have caused them to question living in general, then that is a choice.
There will be bad, there will be good. Without both, we wouldn’t understand the other.
It is a choice to view life as beautiful, as a blessing to be born, to not have it so bad, because no matter how bad you think it is, someone has it worse. And I know that is something negative to say, but just because somebody has it worse doesn’t mean that they view it that way.
Life is tragic.
Life is beautiful.
Life is worth living to the end.
Life is worth finishing.
And depending on what you believe, life never dies.
At least to me.
So Lana Del Ray, I love your seductive indie-like songs, but
We are not born to die.
We are born to live.
Absolutly in love with this girl’s voice<3
While everything is wandering away from our reality
